What if I'm not comfortable with my therapist?

Our primary goal is your well-being.  If you do not feel comfortable working with us, we are happy to refer you to any of our colleagues in the area.  There are no long term obligations, and we will not be offended in the least.

What forms of payment do you take?

Payment is due at the beginning of your session or in advance online.  We accept PayPal, cash, local check and major credit and debit cards.  We do not bill insurance, but you will receive an email receipt which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if covered by your policy.

What if I have to cancel an appointment?

We request 24 hours notice whenever possible.  Less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee up to the full cost of the session.

What do you charge?

Generally we book clients for 60 or 90 minute sessions at $100/hr.

Is your office ADA accessible?

Yes, our office suite and restroom are fully wheelchair accessible.

Do you treat children?

We prefer to work with clients who are able to participate intentionally in the healing process--generally adults and teenagers.  However, there is nothing preventing us from working with your child.  Give us a call to discuss further.

Are there any dangers or lasting side effects?

There are absolutely no serious dangers to hypnotherapy.  The common fears of "brain washing" or "mind-control" are misplaced.  We use hypnosis to facilitate the client's process, not to change them.

There can be emotional side-effects that are sometimes challenging to deal with at first.  It is these that are actually what is holding us back from the healing we long for.  The support of a trusted therapist can help to turn these side-effects into breadcrumbs on your healing journey.

How many sessions does it take?

As irritating as this answer might be, it really does depend on you.  It is your inner child going through the healing process.  As anyone with children can attest, they rarely function on our schedules.  Our experience, though, is that the positive changes can begin almost immediately, and you as the client decide how far you want to go.

Can I bring my children with me?

As parents, we are completely sympathetic to this situation.  The best solution is for us to schedule your appointment when your children are in someone else's care (flexible scheduling options are available).  If this is not a possibility, give us a call and we can discuss possible solutions.
